Over the last several years I have struggled with increasing GI issues, overall lack of energy and feeling unwell. I spent many years exercising full body and cardio to try and look my best, never much caring about the food going in my mouth or the number on the scale. However, as I got older, it became increasingly clear that I was not treating my body well through nutrition and it was causing me great problems. The GI issues were getting worse and my body started to protest activity with aches, pains, and injuries.

When I met with Heather and Chad for the first time in March 2024, I had intended to just get a one time macro plan. I’m pretty motivated and figured I didn’t need their continuing support. One month of check-ins turned into 2, which has now turned into 7 months (and still going)! During that time, I dove deep in and attempted to stay on track at least 90% of the time. I quadrupled my protein intake and cut extra fat and carbs from my diet. The first month was a huge challenge, but then got easier and easier to maintain the proper eating habits for my overall health.

In the last 7 months I have lost 28 lbs. (from my heaviest weight) and managed to gain some muscle mass! I started to love weight training and now incorporate it into my workout 5 days a week! I look great and feel more confident than I have felt since high school. Vanity aside, I feel incredible on the inside. My GI issues are almost gone! I have energy throughout my day and can do things I never would have done in the past. My daughter and I recently hiked 22 miles with over 4000 feet in elevation gain in 3 days in Colorado! I didn’t even come home feeling worn out. What an incredible feeling!

I have come to a point in my plan that I could start just maintaining. However, I am enjoying my progress so much that now my goal is to put on some muscle. I hope by next summer my abs are popping and my biceps are intimidating. lol!

For real though, making nutrition a priority is one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. However, with Heather and Chad’s help and guidance, I was able to make a plan, stick with it, and kick its ass. I have never felt better and am looking forward to working with them as I go forward into getting stronger and leaner!
